Etihad Double Miles for travel 23 Sept-15 December

Good morning all

I have just received an email offering double miles on Etihad flights, all classes, booked 23 Sept-6 Oct for travel 23 Sept to 15 December. Might be of interest to some of you lucky buggers, who can get away!!!

I got this as well. I need to fly economy to London from SYD in Nov with my 3 yr old daughter and I am trying to work out whether to take up this offer as I am a Gold Etihad flyer which doesn't run out until Aug next year (I have 0 tier miles for this current year) or fly on Emirates which I am also a Gold member and only have 3500 Tier miles and my gold membership runs out in Feb 2015 (reviewed Dec 2014). I won't be flying back to Europe or Middle East until at least April next year. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Double tier miles on First and business class. So you would probably need both November and April to get the 40,000 tier miles. But you'd still get the double miles, and you can family pool.

Thank goodness I didn't book last week. Managed to sneak in ALA - LHR on the 11th Dec and then LHR - BRIS on the 13th Dec when I booked today. At least some help towards replenishing the points that I will spend sending my parents to Africa in J class for their anniversary.
Now I need to hold out in booking my own Africa flights hoping that something similar will come up in early 2015 ;-)

anyone got the double miles and status credits yet
a friend of mine in eco got the double credits but i haven't got anything
its a real pain when you don't get a confirmation email for registering so you are at their mercy
just the thank you for registering on their site- which is not number specific.
maybe our rep can take that to them as it's rediculous.
