Ethiad awards not matching American Airlines

As you probably noted AA recently started showing EY awards online (you previously needed to call to book). Previously it was recommended that you use the AC website to check for EY availably. Now I am seeing much better/greater EY award availability on AA than on AC. Very strange indeed.

UPDATE - just read on FT that AA is show phantom EY awards in J - so maybe not that strange after all.
