I have UK passport and will be flying WLG-SYD-HKG on QF and have 4 hours between flights in SYD and plan to avail myself of the QF First Lounge. Do I need an ETA in order to do this - the OZ Immigration Site says you don't need one if you layover is less than 8 hours and you stay in the "transit lounge'
Thanks for any insights!

I would get an ETA in case of problems occurring such as missed connections. Using a UK passport , it is free to get an Evisitor from eVisitor

HI and thanks for that
Is the evisitor a new option? I'm curious as in the past I've been informed that I need an ETA - at $20.
Cheers

It is relatively new and is the new no-cost option for some European countries including the UK. Given it being free, would be worth getting just to be safe
