I used the free one from Pelago from SQ for a day in Singapore and the first day or so in the UK. For the rest of trip in UK/ Europe used Lycamobile with 30GB for 30 days discounted to £5 - Lycamobile UK: Low Cost, High Value plans from £5

Saily also have a global package similar to Roamless. Has anyone used it?
We are looking for a simple solution that doesn't need tech skills to operate across Europe including Bosnia, UK, Canada and the US and have used Saily in Aus in the past so are tempted.

So I can keep my current number and make outgoing call from mobile to mobile (Australia) ect.. not wanting to use WhatsApp for such calls.

Yes, assuming your phone is multi-SIM capable? Most phones for the last ~10 years are.

You can keep you home line on (turn off data roaming etc) and use the eSIM for data etc.

Optus stopped the plan I had been on for years. It had unlimited talk and text in most countries and 2Gb/month overseas.

I have gone with Amaysim with a $70 overseas pack. 60 txt/100min/9Gb 365 day expiry. If anything it is the 100 min that isn’t enough as I can manage the data and texts.

You should be able to stack a $20 txt/mins plan if you need more. Unused mins/txt rollover if you buy another bundle before the game costing one expires.

The $70 plan is convenient (providing mins/txt/data on the same mobile plan) but not great value IMHO for the data component.

The $20 bundles are excellent.

It's connected without any need for human intervention in Indonesia, Hong Kong, Canada and now Brazil. My partner has been buying country specific Saily plans and is having issues with it here in Brazil.
