Received a phone call today from epiQure wanting to offload some tickets to the Truffles, Butter and Wine event in Sydney on 19JUL. Unfortunately I can't attend as I'll be overseas on hols at the time and I didn't get to find out whether they were going to be complimentary or I had to pay, but the very friendly lady mentioned that as a WP I do get priority access to these kinds of events (didn't realise that)!

A nice touch.

Brettmcg - Are you flying QF for your holiday? :p

Indeed I am, however I am cognisant of the fact that epiQure and FF probably aren't in constant communication about my travel plans ;)

I know they probably don't communicate (or have systems access).

In the early days of WP1 they certainly didn't cross reference, which lead to some amusing phone calls with the WP1 freebies... Hopefully this has been fixed now...

How can WPs have priority? When you buy tickets to the events, you don't go into a waitlist - they're confirmed immediately.

Hey, don't shoot the messenger! Maybe they were a pre-release? I'm just regurgitating what I was told.

I've just looked at the epiQure site and it appears this particular event in Sydney is officially ''sold out''. Maybe that's what she meant by priority?
