I've read that Aus citizens can travel into and between EU states for a period of 3 months, without a visa. I'd like to know, how long you have to stay out of the EU before you can enter one of its countries again without a visa? Is there a rule for it?

Thanks for that loki, but I can't see anything about breaks between visits. Surely you couldn't just fly out and fly in again the next day for another 90 day period
if you are worried about visa requirements etc, i would suggest contacting one or more of the EU countries you've plans to visit and pose the question to them!

Why not ?
I have done it before, a week in between, also i do Singapore a lot, just spent 3 days in Bintan (Indonesia, 45 mins by ferry) and got 90 days extra.
I was entering EU from Germany they seem very relaxed about people visiting, i have heard that some other countries care a little more.

if you are worried about entry/exit etc and you are under ~30 yrs of age, why not apply for a UK or Ireland working holiday visa, this will ensure you are legit and are able to hang aobut EU for atleast 1 yr (Ireland) or 2yr (UK)
