Crews moved the space shuttle Endeavour from the Vehicle Assembly Building at Kennedy Space Center, Fla., to Launch Complex 39A on Jan. 6 in preparation for next month’s STS-130 mission to the International Space Station (ISS).

The six-hour trip for the shuttle stack — orbiter, external tank and two solid-rocket boosters — started at 4:13 a.m. EST. Endeavour is scheduled to lift off at 4:39 a.m. EST Feb. 7 for a 13-day orbital sortie to the ISS.

It would be great to see one take off - but as they're often delayed and rescheduled it is quite hard to be at the right place at the right time...

At least I've seen one on it's take-off pad, which is a great sight from up close. (close being still quite a distance away!).

Not many chances left now to see them take off!

I was nearby for a launch in 1982.

There was a lot of noise, the ground rumbled something fierce and we saw nothing as it was foggy where we were. Extremely disappointing :!:
