Hi

I'm flying from SYD to MAN via DXB on Emirates in F in May, with a 2110 depature out of Sydney.

I'm flying on another carrier (Fly Pelican) into Sydney on the same day, and none of the flight times align very well with a 2110 depature....

My options are arriving in Sydney at 12 noon or 1610...................... - with 1610 being the last flight of the day (so i have the concern that if it is cancelled for any reason then i'm stuck..........)

So - question is what time does F check in in Sydney open for Emirates ? Whilst it isn't ideal i can manage a long stint in the QF F lounge but i wouldn't like to spend 5 or 6 hours land side in Sydney airport.............

Thanks
David

I believe it’s 3 hours for luggage acceptance.
EK shares checkin desks so there are no earlier luggage acceptance until previous airline completed their checkin process. Though they may open the F checkin lane earlier. You won’t be able to go to lounge until luggage is accepted.

Catching the last flight will make me nervous. I don’t like catching last flight of day to connect to another flight.

EK check-in currently opens at 16:00 (for EK419 at19:50), but that might change after DST finishes and EK419 shifts to 19:20.
So, unless you can go hand luggage only and do on-line check-in, you'd be kicking your heels for a while with the earlier dom connection.

Is early flight and day room at the Rydges/across the road an option?

I wouldn't risk taking the last flight.

This is a Friday connection?. FP722 at 12 and FP724 at 1640? TRO-SYD

Will the schedule departure times change with the next daylight savings?

Thanks all. Not a Friday flight so looks like i'm stuck between hand luggage only and sitting around for a while.........

I just looked up Fly Pelican, where are you coming from because I would not risk those departure points on a last flight for the day to make a Int connect.

Yep, i won't be doing last flight of the day for exactly that reason !
