Emirates reward flight booked through Qantas and Aeroplan 50k status

Hi

Anyone know if you can book a reward economy flight with Emirates through Qantas but use the Aeroplan 50k status for access to Dubai lounge or the other benefits that come from it?

Yes you can as Qantas reward flights book onto the EK flight number.

It’s worth nothing that the Aeroplan benefits on Emirates are very very limited.

If departing from Montreal or Toronto you get Air Canada lounge access prior to an Emirates flight (plus 1 guest).

If departing from Dubai you get access to the Emirates business lounge however as noted on the Air Canada website

• Itinerary and direction of travel must include a segment between Canada and Dubai on Air Canada or Emirates.

What this means is that you’d need to flying on Emirates in Y to Montreal or Toronto; or you’ve just arrived from Montreal or Toronto on Emirates or arrived from Toronto or Vancouver on Air Canada and be connecting onto an onwards Emirates flight.
