Quick question...

Does anyone know if pax are allowed off the plane in KL for the short stop?

An hour and a half I believe is the stopover.

I would assume you can

The BNE-SIN-DXB flights you have to deplane.

The SYD-BKK-DXB flights is optional to deplane.

I would assume in KUL it would be similar as in required or optional. You can and have people who simply are only flying to KUL, and others just doing the KUL-DXB

I think it's easier for cleaning and catering personnel to do their job without passengers onboard the aircraft however sometimes there may be one or two people requiring wheelchair assistance who may elect to stay onboard as it saves them deplaning then reboarding.

What?! I thought everyone had to deplane during any stopover that's not just a fuel stop? How do the cleaners empty, clean and restock around half a plane full of people? For those pax only flying the second leg, they would expect an 'as new' seat- how would a cleaner clean a window seat with someone sitting in the aisle seat the whole time?!

In BKK it is normal if the flight has the same flight number for PAX to stay on board if they want to - and any whom get off simply sit in the boarding lounge and wait and cannot get to the shopping area.

Had it ok the EK flight and also a number of CX flights that originated in India via BKK to HKG.

They also tend to turn the flights in less than an hour.

So a visit to QC is not going to happen?

You are talking about KUL, which I have never been so cannot say for sure - however I would assume it would be as most airports in the world and you will be asked to deboard and go to the lounge awaiting reboarding.

However if you were flying via BKK it could be another story .... or they may have changed it since last time I was there..... But again not relevant as we are talking about KUL, not BKK.
