I wasn’t sure whether to post this in the Qantas or Emirates forum, so my apologies if it’s in the wrong place.

I am looking to fly ADL-DXB-CAI out then AMM-DXB-ADL home, There is J Classic reward availability on DXB-ADL I’d like to access. Would be paid Y for the rest.

It is possible to do this on one booking, as QF Multi City only seems to allow paid fares in the one class?

The only way I could seem to make to work was to try and book ADL-DXB return in Classic J via QF, and then the ADL-DXB leg was offered as Y since J wasn’t available

I then had to book DXB-CAI and AMM-DXB as a Multi City via EK directly

Is there a better way?

If not, it is possible to link the 2 separate return bookings AMM-DXB and DXB-ADL, so my bags are checked all the way thru, as it’s only a 4hr stopover in DXB and all on EK metal?

Thanking you all in advance.
