Just tried to book on Emirates Sydney to Bangkok and noticed they are now charging Credit Card Surcharge. Does this include Citibank Platinum Emirates Card? If so might be moving all future flights to Etihad.

The credit card surcharge applies to all tickets departing from the UK, Germany, New Zealand and Australia for adults and children, in all cabins and within all fare types. The surcharge doesn’t apply on tickets for infants.
The surcharge is only for flights and isn’t applied to any other services such as hotel stays or excess baggage allowances. You won’t pay a surcharge if you pay for flights with a debit card.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

For itineraries departing from New Zealand and Australia, the surcharge cost is equal to 1.5% of the total ticket value for each passenger. Irrespective of the value of the ticket, the surcharge per passenger will not exceed NZD 70 for bookings made from New Zealand and AUD 70 for bookings made from Australia.
