Flew Emirates QF codeshare AKL-SYD J. When asked about drinks I wanted Coke Zero with no ice. So got a glass half full with Coke Zero.

The J seat on EK is problematic as the foot rest ramp in front takes up much standing room. J cabin on QF looks and feel more spacious...

Isn't an A380 doing this run? I can't recall the seat having any issues... maybe because I was standing at the bar during everything but take off/landing?

Thats the problem with the seat, its hard to go back to after the bar!

I think you will find it only half filled in all zones on EK, I often ask for 2 or 3 drinks to get what I am after.

To go to bar, loos and get stuff from overhead..and get off. You end up stepping on plastic foot ramp. And you need to fully put seat upright or else the space is even less.

Maybe I'm strange but I normally put the seat into an upright position if I need to get up...
