Hello all
I have a flight I need to book - one way Perth to London. January 5th.

I have 345k qantas points but no status.

I can book an Emirates flight about 10% cheaper through Emirates website (using AUMCC17 code).
There is also the same flight on qantas website with a QF number.
In terms of earning points and the slight chance of a business class points upgrade (don’t even know if that is offered through qantas) which should I book through?
Any other option I’m missing in terms of business class using points? (Got points with most airlines)

You can't upgrade on Qantas points when flying Emirates.

Personally, I'd go with the cheapest option, especially as you have no status.

If you do want to start earning Qantas status though, booking through QF with a QF code will get you QF status credits, whereas booking through EK will get you just a few points (if you give your QFF number). If you're not Australian based however, I would suggest earning EK points/status would work out better in the long run.
