Emirates FF and Virgin blue flights.

I've recently booked flights return flights from the UK to Melbourne with EK. I'll earn 15,500 skywards miles, and the EK website says you can spend these on virgin blue flights, but the DJ website has no reference to it. How can I book DJ flights using my Skywards miles?

(Also, will I get all the miles as soon as I do my first leg, or do you only accrue miles as you fly them? ie when I'm in australia will I have half the miles to spend or all of them?)

Thanks for any help - I've never left Europe before, so FF schemes are somewhat new to me!

Welcome to AFF.

I cannot answer your question re how to use your Skywards miles other than suggesting you contact EK and ask them about the process.

With all 'normal' FF programs you only accrue the miles as you fly them so I cannot see why this would be any different.

hi - to REDEEM the points from skywards to virgin - call emirates in australia
Skywards - Partners - Virgin Blue

to EARN points you need to present skywards card at check in on virgin flights
takes up to 4 weeks to appear so you wont be able to redeem these for a while!
