Trip Report of my recent Flight in my first ever 1st class!

Since there are heaps of trip reports with better photos and videos,
im just going to upload the photos (since we all love photos!) and write a few comments at the end

Service: Exceptional from start to end. Got served by 2 different ladies, one from UK, one from AUS/NZ.
There was only 2 passengers
One thing i noticed was cutlery and glassware was like no finger prints, no dust,

Food: On demand, and excellent all around. After checking other trip reports, it appears my caviar was double sized portion. I had 3 portions.
In 14 hours i had 3x meals!
One thing is some of the entrees were huge (the mezz dips, cheese platter)
One meal I had caviar, dips, steak, cheese platter, and i have a huge appetite and just managed to finish it all. Steak was tender but overcooked and a bit dry. Caviar was yummy (reminds me of japanese ikura minus soy sauce, for those that have never had it). Had to tell CA to not give me an entire bread basket for each course, which is a crazy amount of bread

Entertainment: Massive touch screen, 1x ipad, 1x controller, despite having like 1000 movies, most were foreign or ones ive never heard of. I actually struggled to find ones to watch

Drinks: Moet to takeoff, Dom for inflight, Henessey Paradis, iced coffee on special request.
Paradis was fantasic, CA told me that each flight they get given a new bottle. Not sure what happens to half bottles.

Shower: 5 mins water at any time pre booked at start of flight. All ammenities included perfume by bvlgari with made for emirates printed on it. You know you've made it in life if the floors are heated and you can adjust the temperature!

Onboard bar: forgot to go!!!!

Internet: only once you get to a certain height. Fast enough to do everything except video streaming

Bed: Comfortable but i didnt get round to flattening it. Amazing

Amenity kit: Bvlgari, packed with stuff. Dont know how much its worth but looks very premiun. Bag is very nice
Pyjamas/slippers not cheap/disposable ones

Earphones: some fancy brand that ive never heard of "Williamson/Wilkinson"
I have a pair of Sony wh5, i compared them to see no huge difference!

Summary: exceptional bucket list experience.
An absolute must for those who want to experience travelling in the best of the best is important to them
If I was paying the full ticket with cash i might have eaten more caviar!
However, I think my balance equilibrium is business class
Disappointed they removed the chauffer service for redemptions

Mrs K will settle for nothing less after she gets a taste of EK F!!

Hey and what’s more - take a look pls SQ at EK F red wine offering - 2012 RWT which was offered on SQ R & F prior to Covid but they now offering 2019 La Pleiade Shiraz - $180 v $68 a bott - YES YES I know price not always everything but here it is totally indicative of the 2 wines.

But on the flip side SQ offering Krug slaughters EK's glorified Moet offering of Dom - swings and roundabouts huh?

I love caviar but isn’t that massive mound of it kind of … i dunno absurdly gluttonous? Takes away from the delicateness of it all.

I was expecting a small tin but they gave me that amount, there was that much condiments, nice to try different flavour combinations. The cream +blini+ onion/spring onion +lemon was the winner for me

I was grinning the most when i was guided to my seat by my own CA and while i was on the golf cart in dubai airport.

Avoided eye contact with all the poor people in business class when passing them

Ive had krug before and thought it was better than the dom. I even kind of think bollinger is better, but ive not compared side by side. Aiming to try cristal one day, but i didnt win powerball

I like my reds, big, deep and bold.
And had the one on the right (see attached)
It was amazing, loved it, one of the best ive tasted. Couldnt believe these were just lying around every where at the lounge!

I did wonder how this would compare with the rwt on offer

F is for Fail-safe Trap, Right? Book Sat fly Tues as FF points Deval Belgium, Berlin & Stockholm

Dining was SPECTACULAR! I could rave about these dishes all night long Caviar paired with decadent extravagance Parsnip & Shallot soup paired with Lamb Chops paired with That’s an 11/10!

Didn’t drink any of it going over
But half dozen glasses coming home (drinking my airfare haha)
And that’s apparently mild as compared to what others have mentioned they consumed on the 14 hour soirée !

That caviar amount looks absurd... like are we shooting a rap video or something?


Is it just me or does the menu - particularly the main courses - look boring? I'm very glad the beef came out acceptable for you - last I flew EK F and had the beef, it was not good - well done (OK it can still be tasty if prepared correctly, but why would the FA ask for doneness then?), tough and flavourless.
