Requesting some help on Emirates' economy seating codes if anyone can help please?
I'm needing to book a trip from Perth to Barcelona return and I know exactly the flights I need Emirates all the way. I also know that I want to pay for Economy seats and then subsequently points upgrade them to business class, so obviously the economy flavour seats I book need to be of the upgradeable type.
Looking through the Citibank cxLoyalty travel agent, they do indeed find the flights I want, but the type of economy is only listed as fare type U or fare type R as the only options they offer. Does anyone know please what U and R means in Emirates' economy speak? I suspect U means Economy Saver and R means Economy Flex. I know that Economy Flex is upgradeable with points, but I don't know if U is upgradeable.
