Emirates are currently promoting Dubai stopovers with selected hotels with prices starting at US$39 pp pn. This is for the month of August when we may be going to the UK for a holiday. I believe it can reach about 45 degrees then which makes even Perth feel reasonable. Is the weather too hot that time of year that it should be avoided at all costs ??. They show a list of hotels but not exactly where they are and there's a huge difference in prices. Not that I'm too worried about prices, I just like value for money. Can anyone recommend or has anyone experienced a great hotel near the centre of Dubai that is handy for the normal touristy things. We are a couple of young seniors, no kids.
Thanks in advance for any replies
Cheers
Johnny

+1 for crown plaza... Well located, clean and reasonable rates..
For a more upmarket experience, try the emirates towers across the road.. Connected to a mall with pubs and restaurants..

Really high end, try the medinat jumerah... A fabulous hotel, next door to the Burj Al Arab... A real treat even just for a few nights..Regarding the temp, I have been there during 50+ degree days ... It's a dry heat which makes it more bearable.. But everything is well air-conditioned...
