Emirates Delays/Cancellations

Also on Wednesday 14, A388 A6-EVL as the 0200 hours DXB-SYD took off at 0256, so touchdown in SYD should be at 2257 hours and gate arrival at about 2302 hours, 32 late.

A388 A6-EVR is on EK412, the 1015 hours Sunday 15 January 2023 DXB-SYD that took off at 1112, with Monday 16 arrival in SYD occurring at 0736 hours, 36 late.

On Wednesday 19 April 2023, the unattractively timed 0515 hours MEL-DXB (A388 A6-EOE) did not take off until 0657 hours, so arrival should be at 1438, 88 minutes tardy. This may result in many missing connections in Dubai.

An 0225 hours scheduled departure from MEL for a long international flight isn't my favourite time, but many may find it convenient as it avoids getting up super early in the morning, and may have good connections in this case in DXB.

On Sunday 11 June 2023, B773ER A6-EGY on EK405's recently resumed MEL to SIN run took off at 0358, so arrival should be at about 0928 hours, 73 minutes tardy. The second sector from SIN top DXB is scheduled for pushback at 0940, quite tight, but is estimated to be an hour later today. The plane had arrived MEL opn Saturday 10 at 1922 hours, 13 minutes early as EK404 from SIN, so not sure why this morning's sparrows' delay.

EK409 (the 0515 hours SUnday MEL-DXB, A388 A6-EEQ) was airborne at 0557 with suggested gate arrival becoming 1338 hours, 33 late. The winds in this direction may be adverse.

A6-EVL, another A380, is similar with its timetabled 0600 hours SYD pushback seeing takeoff at 0635 for mooted DXB arrival of 1442 hours, 32 behind.

On Thursday 22 June 2023, the unattractively timed 0225 MEL-SIN (EK405) was not in the sky until 0506 hours. B773ER A6-ENK should arrive at around 1040 hours, 145 minutes late, meaning many will miss connetions later in DXB if travelling 'two stops' to Europe. It had arrived in MEL last night at 2021, 46 minutes late as EK404, so a minimum turnaround time certainly was not to blame.

EK412, the 0750 hours SYD-CHC on Friday 7 July took off at 0954 with A388 A6-EVH. Arrival at gate should be at about 1432 hours, 97 late. This was partly due to the earlier leg from DXB arriving SYD 63 late at 0708 hours. The return EK413 isn't timetabled to depart CHC until 1745 late this afternoon, so in theory should be punctual.

On Sunday 6 August 2023, EK415, first of the morning at a timetabled 0600 ex SYD for DXB did not become airborne until 0751 hours. A388 A6-EVK should arrive at 1534 hours mid afternoon, 84 late, resulting in some of the tighter connections being missed. If one misses EK5 (the 1545 hours DXB-LHR), the next one isn't until 0230 hours (EK7).

EK416 diverted to Colombo (medical?), but now on its way to SYD, estim. arrival around 2115. B777 to turn around quickly 😜
