Emirates Canceled flight - Lose a nights accomodation. Any Compensation?.

Emirates have canceled my flight Perth- Dubai -Athens for 24 hrs now I lose a nights accomadation in Athens that has been paid ,can I claim for this disruption?? Thanks in advance.

Which flight was Cancelled? PER-DXB or DXB-ATH?

Emirates generally have two daily flights DXB-ATH, 11am and 4pm. The PER flight arrives 5am.

The 4 pm was cancelled and put us on the next day.

You have a couple of options... you can ring Emirates and ask for a flight that better suits your needs (like the 11am or whatever), you can ask them to put you on another airline, you can ask them to pay for your accommodation, or finally, you can put in an insurance claim for the hotel.

Update, Emirates said we could go a day early ( no thank you) we asked if the 11 am was available,” sorry full , they replied ,then we said why are you still selling seats, they replied we will get back to you, 2hours later , Bingo we have seats, so many thanks for your replies , much appreciated .
