My wife & I are booked first class on Emirates, Paris/Dubai on a A380 then Dubai/Brisbane on a 777. At this stage we’ve been allocated the 2xcentre seats (A & F) on both flights. Having read several reviews on both aircraft I am a little concerned about space for carryon stuff as apparently there are no overhead lockers in the first class cabin. Some reviewers make mention that there can be problems with bags on the floor & around the seat, especially when it goes into flat bed mode & nothing is in easy reach. We’ve done first class QF2 LDN/SYD several times & locker space/general storage has not been an issue when we’ve booked window seats which come with the extra bin under the window. Would appreciate others opinions & whether changing to window seats would give us more space.

I'm pretty sure there are overhead lockers (my memory's a bit hazy sorry), but they are only over the windows, not in the middle. There should be plenty of room even if the cabin is full, but regardless, the crew will be very happy to take care of your carry on luggage and find somewhere to stow it if necessary.

No, actually, my memory is more hazy than I thought. You're right that there are no overhead lockers, but I've never had any problem with my carry-on. There was always plenty of room for my roll-aboard (international size) and a medium size laptop backpack to fit at my feet, including when the seat was in bed mode.

Definitely no overhead bins in the A380 I have travelled in. Little difference in the space from window to centre seats.

The under-window storage on A and K seats are bloomin' tiny, but as others have said I don't think you'll struggle with the floor storage area. Chances are there might even be a spare suite you can use for bags.

I have flown the EK F a380 product on a number of occasions, I believe the seating is the same on the 777. Saying this it was also the older F class/ suite not the new one EK recently introduced.

So back to your question the EK F product has ample space for roll on luggage in the foot well and there are also straps to hold it in place, I also travel with small backpack with for my laptop, headphones and other stuff which also fits in the same space. Sure once the seat is in the bed (flat) position your carry on will be difficult to access, I have not found this to be an issue as when sleeping I have little need to access my hand luggage ;) The key is to know what you need from your hand luggage e.g. change of clothes etc. but overcome this is the lounge via using the shower and getting into new toggs then switching to my PJ's after takeoff.

We have also been married since the dawn of time so these days MrsM and I have no issue sitting separately I select 3A/K and MrsM will be in 2A/K.

Can confirm there is plenty of space - with luggage strap as mentioned by Matt_01 - in EK F suites. That's based on the largest permitted carry on bag at 115cm.

Can second this. Flew on the 777 yesterday and plenty of space for carry on bags and still able to recline the seat into full sleep position.

When we flew EK F we were the only pax apart from a dead head flight crew. My rollaboard was accommodated in the suite across the aisle.
I was going to use same bathroom after wife, but, was told no problem to use the other bathroom.
