I bit the bullet and am flying SYD-CBR-MEL-SYD tomorrow on a JASA. I need 110 status points to make SG by 30 April. It's costing me 48,000 and $180. The only bummer is that I paid for two years QP in January.

My understanding is that your QP membership will be put on hold whilst you retain SG status. If & when you drop back to PS your QP membership will resume.

Have a safe trip tomorrow!

Correct. Any remaining QP membership when you hit SG will be suspended until such a time when you drop below this level.
