Hi,

I'm a new member. Basically, I'm a relatively new FIFO worker who is interested in exploring different travel options and the like.

I'm pretty flexible. I semi-recently went backpacking around Tunisia with my partner and would love to visit other out of the way destinations. We also scored (very unexpectedly) a business class upgrade on the way back which has me sort of hooked. However, I also consider myself a "value for money" type of person so the idea of paying full fare for business class is painful.

Welcome CP123. You have come to the right place - full of people who don't like paying full fare for anything.

Welcome to AFF CP123 - I look forward to some input from a FIFO perspective.

A warm welcome CP123.
Not sure where you're located but try and come along to a social - that's where the real info is ;)

I look forward to some input from a FIFO perspective.

Happy to answer any FIFO questions.

However, in practice it's a pretty simple setup. I fly from Melbourne to Perth commercially (usually Qantas) and then take a charter to site. I don't get FF points on the charter (despite being Virgin). One factor is that I don't spend much money on site (accommodation, food etc is free, beer is subsidised) - which is great for the bank balance but limits FF accumulation.

Hi fellow newbie. Very intrigued by FIFO stuff. I'm not quite FIFO but do a lot of drop-ins (disaster and humanitarian emergency response), wonder what the similarities and differences are. Welcome to the forum!
