Are there any QF domestic booking classes which don't count as an eligible flight to make Silver. I'm not talking about points or status credits, just as one of four flights required.

Anything sold on the web site should count. I recall rumors of some quirky things about group and contract fares. but ordinary customers should never encounter them.

The issue domestically is that E class only credits to QF not partners. Though some of the other "cheap" fare classes don't provide much "joy"

An award fare bucket won't get you a ~. Are you purchasing the fares or is it a corporate fare?

It was a flight I've already purchased, and would have anyway. I flew a segment on 1/5/2017 but it only posted to my account today. Maybe that was because of the public holiday on Monday. I've had long haul BA segments posted to my account before I'd reached my destination, so I had assumed that the flight on Monday would be the same. I've since found out that my flights were booked into booking classes V and L.

What are your needs?

If four ~ flights by Apr 30th then a flights with a May 1st scheduled departure is unlikely to be of any use.

I need four flights by August. It's only to make silver, which ordinarily wouldn't really be worth doing. But it'll give me an extra 12 kg luggage allowance in my UK trip later this year. I have enough status credits from some JAL and BA flights I've done in the past year. I'd only done one QF flight in my membership year. I still need to do one more, but don't have any domestic travel planned

I've got a related question that falls into the same "four eligible flights" question.

I'm solid on retention for this year, my new year starts 1 August. I live in the UK now so unless I'm careful it's not hard to miss out on the all important four eligible flights in a year.

I'm planning a trip home in August and am keen on some Emirates operated flights (marketed by QF w/ QF flight numbers, per the attached).

I'm *fairly* sure that they count for the four eligible flights, but as they're basically my one shot for 2019/2020, really don't want to miss out on what would otherwise be a fairly easy platinum retention...

I'm also finding it hard to go back in time and see the ~ on my points statement (on previous/recent QF flights) so not sure exactly how to validate my findings inside of my own QFF account.

I'm looking to book via Amex travel as they are about 20% cheaper than what QF will sell me through their site, unless that jeopardises things further. They definitely come up as "Qantas Flights 8098, 8414" etc (no mention of EK flight numbers) so I assume they should be ok?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

QF*EK in revenue fare buckets (i.e. Paid $$$, no classic awards) are 'eligible' flights. (i.e. Qantas flight number, Emirates metal).

When you log into Qantas.com under your account you can see your eligible flights progress. Here's one for a NB who has two flights so far:

Thanks, Serfty.
I think what you’ve said is I’m all good provided the fares are revenue and not classic award, which is the case.

They’re I class paid fares being quoted back at me. I’ll push the button and should all be good, assuming I can’t find anything better in the next day or two.
