Elevating a Singapore layover

Hi there,

I was hoping the AFF community may have suggestions to the below!

We travel from Brisbane to Singapore on SQ in J on 15 July and after a 5.5 layover, travel with Thai in J onwards to Europe.

As we are travelling for our wedding, I was hoping to ‘elevate’ our layover experience by paying our way to the F lounge but the SQ staff confirmed this isn’t possible. Given no F cabin in our flights, upgrade is not an option either.

My eyes are peeled out for any kind guest offers in ‘Meet me in the SQ Lounge thread’ but if the community have any other suggestions, would be nice to hear!

Other than the one you’ve mentioned, the SQ business lounge is about as good as it gets!

You could go for a massage… I was surprised to find they have a pretty reasonable offer on at the moment for a one hour massage for just SGD70: Promos | Natureland (T2, transit airside)

Enter Singapore and cab it to the Fullerton Bay rooftop bar for a coughtail and then cab it back to the Airport. Not cheap, but very romantic view if you have good weather

Not sure if I’d agree with you on this, as presumably OP will be on 8:50pm flight and thus probably would want to be on their way back to the airport before it gets dark at around 7:15pm. During daylight probably not quite so romantic as it is once the sun is down.

Thanks for your inputs! Ideally would like to stay in the lounge but the spa is a great idea. The boutiques in the terminal make for great window shopping too.

If feeling up for it, we may dash to the city for a quick break.

You can also pay to access the swimming pool at the Aerotel. If you were happy to leave the airport I can suggest Stella Seaside Lounge which also has a beach club style pool and great food (along with great plane views depending on the runway).

For a 5 hour layover, I would just stay airside. It takes at least 20-30 minutes by car to get to the city, so up to 60 minutes round trip.

Just relax in the lounge and surrounds!
