I'm currently planning a week in Byron Bay for March next year, and Elements by Byron had been recommended by a few AFF members and generally received positive reviews on OTA booking sites.

Their affiliation with Accor as an MGallery by Sofitel branded property was appealing but I was perplexed that their website showed no Accor branding whatsoever, and the Accor booking engine could not see any availability while Elements' own website showed plenty.

So I reached out to the Elements reservations team, and got confirmation that they are leaving Accor at the end of this year. Guess there were too many Accor Plus members utilising their F&B discount!

Now I understand why couldn’t find availability at all for Jan/Feb. Was looking forward to using one of my AP free nights there. Oh well, back to Sofitel Noosa it is...

The f and b discount was great. Great property and earned a tonne of points.

Is M Gallery Sofitel at Nagambie (Victoria) similar? Can’t find any availability via ACCOR.

Looks to be a similar situation - no sign of Accor affiliation on their website, and can see availability booking direct but nothing on the Accor website. Worth calling or emailing to check.

This saddens me greatly. We use to use the dining benefit there quite often and was definitely my choice of free night even if I did have to top it up with $.

Haha see you at the Sofitel Noosa. Went to elements today surprised they no longer honour Accor Plus card for dining Maitre’d like talking to a brick walk. Oh well they lost my patronage .
