Ek business class = gold status on flex fare- worth it?

Saw this deal on emirates website

Business class to gold tier

Says:
If you’re a Blue or Silver member, you can now upgrade to Gold simply by flying in Business Class to and from selected destinations on Flex or Flex plus fares, connecting through Dubai.

Certain date and location restrictions of course but seems pretty gettable.

Is this worth the flex fare?
