EK award availability to/from Australia this Nov/Dec onwards

Can't seem to find any via QF.com, nor via EK.com. Have they just not released any seats?

EK have blocked all premium award inventory to and from Australia, as confirmed on the EK FT thread. I did manage to book F awards around two months ago and they were pulled the day after. I know because I’ve been looking daily.

I imagine it will be loaded shortly after the border opens and we return to the new normal.

There are seats avaliable here and there but it is super sketchy, usually only a single, ticket, and hence hard to plan anything around it.

I saw PER-DXB and BNE-DXB in F a few days ago.

I was looking for 2 seats. Perhaps the single seat inventory are cancellations but call centre agents have told EK Skywards members they can't redeem for premium cabins or upgrade using miles, either.

I found some F seats MEL-DXB on QF.com but couldn’t book. After entering the pax details I got the something went wrong message. Called QF today and was told that this was false inventory and not able to be booked.

Yesterday I managed to book first class seat from Dusseldorf to Dubai and then business from Dubai to Jakarta for July 22

Last week I was able to book F seats from Perth to Dubai and onwards to Europe with Qantas Points. Travel in Sept 2022.
Were you able to do this online or via CC?

I tried to book MEL>DXB F flights for March next year online but kept have an error. Spoke to an agent in Sth Africa and they told me it was false inventory so couldn't be booked. I'm trying my luck again this morning with the call centre. Hopefully I get a more helpful agent.

To be fair, I've been told the same thing by a South African call centre agent when trying to book EK F when it very clearly was not false inventory. I called again, spoke to someone in Hobart and was able to book with no issues.

(This was for a flight originating in Cyprus that could not be booked online.)

I was not able to book online, now that you mention it. The booking kept erroring out before the payment stage. But I called and they were able to book it. I also changed the booking twice when I spotted new EK reward seats, and everything was processed fine.

Just got a call back from RSA call centre and was told the same thing - False availability. Nothing they could do. Might try again tomorrow.

As a WP you might have access to agents with more knowledge on the current EK booking process. I've now had two agents telling me that it's false availability. I'm SG FWIW

Another fail this morning after 2 hours of waiting... No luck with getting thru to the the AU or NZ call centres.
