EK AAwards from April 1

Hey guys,

Anyone know if EK flights will appear in the AAdvandage online booking engine from the 1st of next month.

Qantas said I may be able to change from QF Metal to EK Metal (due service time change) after the 1st.

Wonder if EK will only be available over the phone like CX.

Why would EK flights appear for AAdvantage? Did I miss an announcement saying that AA were doing awards on EK?

Qantas told me they are, but she may have been inside a bubble?

I suspect that perhaps the QF agent didn't realise you had made the award booking using AAdvantage miles.

If you had made the award booking with Qantas points, you would be able to switch to EK after 1 April.

As EK is not joining Oneworld and is not an AAdvantage partner, you can't use AA miles for travel on EK.

No, there will be no award seats under QF flight number on EK metal.

Even if there were, you still couldn't book it.

For example, QF codeshare on LA metal has U class inventory, but it cannot be booked in AAdvantage awards.
