I doubt that anyone will disagree with your comments about executive salaries. I wouldn't expect that they make a great deal of difference to an individual airfare though.

In 2018, if QF didn't pay any of its executives anything (saving of $22m ... ie. everything but the benefits accrued due to change in share price), ignored freight, and didn't differentiate passengers by distance or class of travel, I think the saving per individual flight for a passenger would be 41c.
