Hi all,

Hope that this is the correct thread but we are off to the Edinburgh Tattoo at Etihad Stadium in MEL on Sat 13th Feb and have bought Platinum tickets as it is way cheaper than visiting Scotland and are wondering if anyone has been to a concert at this venue.

The show starts at 19:00 and the gates open at 17:30, is there anywhere to grab a quick meal and a drink prior to the concert?

Do priority seats gain us access to any bars which won't be too crowded or is it first in best dressed, any advice will be appreciated.

That end of town is certainly far out. Grab a tram ( free in the CBD) go up La Trobe and get of at Lonsdale. From there walk down Lonsdale and Exhibition to have your pick of Restaurants even up to China Town. And German Restaurant.

La Trobe and Lonsdale streets are parallel so can't board a tram in La Trobe st and get off in Lonsdale st.

Better (and probably quicker due to better frequency of trams) to get a tram down Bourke St to the various restaurants in the CBD.

Woops sorry it's Exhibition and walk down into Lonsdale street. On the way down you will pass Trunk, the Marriott hotel, and lots more on the corner of Lonsdale and Exhibition ........even a thin laneway that gets you into China town via Cohen Place.
