Hi all

Decided to upgrade an existing Y reward booking for our family of 6 in October (SYD-LAX)

Was thinking of the best way to accommodate husband's impending knee operation (don't ask), and thought the most economical solution was to pay extra for Economy X.

I cannot find any threads or information on what the long haul experience is like, so decided to open a new thread in the hope that someone may offer their insight prior to our October flights. It cost an extra $900 to move us all forward a few seats into YX, but I'm banking on these seats having more room for my husband's 6'1" knees.

All I can find is information that infers there is 34" pitch on the 777. This is compared to an old press release of "at least 3" extra on a 737 and more legroom on a 777"

Anyone know anything?

PS - I am hoping I didn't just fork out $900 to watch every other Y passenger jump forward after takeoff..........
