I checked in online today for SYD-BNE return over the next two days. Managed a complimentary upgrade on the way up, but missed out on the way back.
But when checking in this weekend, noticed this on the screen?

The business class leg just has business class, but my return leg shows the above.
Anyone know what this means? I've never noticed it before.
Thanks,
P
PS> I"m WP if that makes any difference.

it this for a future thing with Virgin bringing in European style Business class in Y seats but blocked middle seat?

I did have a few flights back in the day on Ansett when they would reconfigure the front rows sometimes and had a movable middle seat armrest to give a wider seat config.

That didn't cross my mind but it could be part of the preferred blocked middle seat thing. However, my recent experience on the golden triangle routes says the middle seat is always occupied....flights are usually packed when I fly.
