Hey AFF People!
Heading to Singapore 11th August.
I know there are so many amazing restaurants there, however I don't have the time to trawl through and find one!! Hoping you helpful people might once again be able to assist.

Looking for:
  • lunch for 3 people
  • around SG$100 per person (food only), possibly a set menu 🤷‍♀️
  • maybe with a view, if not, no bother

highly recommend the following

Best View of MBS
SKAI on level 70 at Swissotel Stamford (also accorplus discounts of 50% dining & 15% off drinks for 2 pax)

My Personal Favourites
Chilli Crab with a View of MBS - Palm Beach at One Fullerton
Yum Cha - Summer Pavilion at Ritz Carlton

Nineteen Kitchen zi char on Queen St. Chili crab, prawn paste chicken, cereal prawns, kang kong belachan, etc. Yum.

Also the Arab quarter is worth a visit, especially if you're traveling during Ramadan.

So many places for for the price, I would suggest:

Quay House : Asian Tapas (Singapore River neighbourhood)
Dragon Chamber: the entrance is through a fridge door of a non descript local cafe 🤣. Closed apparently moving to a new location.😭
Whitegrass: The "executive" lunch is if I recall about $100 before the "++" added on.

++ in singapore means service charge and GST is extra - add 19%. Which is a silly number - just add 20%.

But really for the price, I would rather hit the great hawker food that is Singapore (bring small $ cash unless you have Alipay or WechatPay but most do cash):
Maxwell Food Centre
Lau Pa Sat
Chinatown complex (biggest in SG)
Tiong Bahru
Newton

If not familiar with Hawker food, maybe get a Hawker food tour guide

Last December a mate and I went to Ce La Vie at MBS which was absolutely sensational, although quite pricey. I think indoor seating where we were had a minimum spend of SGD100 per person, but I also had probably one of the top 2 best steaks of my life there and we got some incredible photos so it was worth it.
I went back again at the start of June and couldn’t get in there but I did go back to the Maxwell Food Centre and Lau Pa Sat which are both hawker markets with fantastic food, also went to Xiao Ya Tou which is a lovely little restaurant recommended by my uncle who is one hell of a foodie, and Wing Seong Fatty’s, a lovely simple Asian spot patronised by many airline crews on their layovers.
On my last night there I went to Kinki which had some nice drinks at a decent price and a great view of the MBS but I don’t recall if they had food available or not, possibly in the downstairs area.
