Great deal, well done. Checked a few random dates and seems like plenty of availability.

Great deal.

FYI - Travel dates: 10 October to 14 December 2022 (excluding flights between Hobart and Perth – 30 October to 13 December 2022), 01 February to 30 March 2023, and 01 May to 16 June 2023.

Wow, that's cheaper than many of my recent one way tickets per-east coast!

Where are you seeing that the $50 can be redeemed. I see in the t&c of this deal that promo codes can’t be used, which is how these $50 credits are redeemed. Is it possible to get $300 return?!

For QBR members, there’s a possibility you won’t get additional points on this fare. There was a similar visit SA promo fare with the dedicated website a little while ago that didn’t post. It appeared in the system as some Corp rate (even though earned the personal pts and SCs as expected).

Anyway, it‘s a good fare and hopefully we’ll see a few more like this. Or better still a broader sale.

Edit: I meant to meantion that the special page lets me select my QBR company but then hides the sale fares. I know I can add the ABN later but I suspect it will be like my previous experience on then ADL fares.

While it doesn't seem to say anywhere that this is direct bookings only, can this fare be booked through agents - e.g. Amex travel to use flight credits?

Hrm. I couldn't seem to find anything to match the sale fare from BNE-PER return in November with flight dates on a Saturday or Sunday.

Let me try again. I think I need to go to this link first to activate it. qantas.com/perthsale

Ah... It's sold out.

The Dream of WA Sale banner page has been pulled from the main web page and the only $175 fares that I could see seem to be from 1st May 2023.

There was quite good availability over a wide earlier date range last night.

https://www.qantas.com/au/en/offer/2022/dream-of-wa-sale.html now states:
  • 10 October to 14 December 2022 (excluding flights between Hobart and Perth - 30 October to 13 December 2022): SOLD OUT
  • 1 February to 30 March 2023: SOLD OUT
  • 1 May to 16 June 2023: Limited availability*
Interesting that ALL flights from 10 October to 30th April sold out in a just few hours (a day)?

I wonder if there was a max number of seats in a period (as opposed to per flight etc) (obviously fairly low number )

McGowan was plugging it on social media so I’d imagine you’re right and the state government subsidised a limited number of fares for each period rather than per flight.
