Earning QF sc's on West jet within Canada?

Hi,
Can anyone tell me do I earn QF status credits flying on West jet when booking a WJ flight from one Canadian city to another. If so, how do I get credited after the flight?

Unfortunately you would need to be ticketed on a "QF" code to earn points & SC's when travelling on WestJet.

This Can only be done when booked as part of a Qantas itinerary into/out of Canada.

Hopefully one day Westjet may become part of One World, as they partner with many OW carriers these days such as AA, BA & QF for example.

I agree with above replies. The only way to get QF SC on a WJ is to have a QF flight code on the ticket. Alternatively have a One World airline (AA) flight code on the ticket.

The only way this can happen is to book via the respective websites of either QF or AA. And your itinerary needs to include an Australian port for QF or the USA for AA for a codeshare flight to appear on the website

Remember there are many different levels of partnerships. In this case WJ and QF have a codeshare partnership. Nothing more. QF and AA have a more extensive partnership.

I went from YVR to JFK via YYZ so that's probably why mine worked - booked on AA site and had no other flights linked
