I’m not sure if this thread is going to be read anymore but any suggestions regarding earning QFF points when purchasing foreign currency via credit card.
My last trip, I used my Amex card on the Amex site to purchase foreign currency and it was brilliant , no surcharge, I earned 1.5 points / $ and I could pick up the money from Aus Post.
Sadly this facility is no more. I can only see Travelex as an option but they charge forex fees and my Qantas Premier card charged the purchase as a cash advance , so the point earn becomes at some cost.
Anyone have suggestions on earning points when buying foreign currency via credit card.
