Earning Asiana points on Lufthansa flights

Recently, on a RTW ticket (issued by Lufthansa), I quoted my Asiana frequent flyer numbers.
There were three Lufthansa sectors; all S class. No frequent flyer points were credited and when I tried to claim I got a "not a valid flight" response.
I've checked various websites and I got the impression that S class fares would attract a 50% mileage credit.
But I appear to have missed something?

Were there other sectors of the RTW ticket that did credit to Asiana? Also what were the condition of the RTW ticket booked? Did it explicitly say milage accrual was possible? Per the OZ site MattG posted to:
When using classes or flights with no mileage earning condition, miles are not earned.

Further to this thread; my partner and I did a business class round the world trip (June-August 2022) on a Lufthansa issued ticket.

Asiana has again denied mileage accrural for the following segments:

Boston to Frankfurt on LH 423
Frankfurt to Brussels on LH 5588 operated by SN
Prague to Frankfurt on LH 1401
Frankfurt to Singapore on LH 778

Other segments were honoured and credited

Sydney to San Francisco on UA 870
Singapore to Melbourne on SQ 227

Thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated

What reason did they provide for denying the mileage request? One option to consider is doing a milage request on another Star Alliance frequent flyer program like United so you don't leave those points "on the table"

LH P class is not eligible to earn Asiana miles.

For the interest of the OP, could someone comment on what program would be best to credit said LH fares to in terms of mileage and status accrual? From WhereToCredit it seems like Lufthansa Group's Miles & More, Air Canada's Aeroplan, United's MilagePlus, COPA's ConnectMiles, SAS's EuroBonus, Thai's Royal Orchid earn 100% mileage flown with Singapore's KrisFlyer even earning 125% milage accrual. On paper this would suggest that Singapore would be the OP's best bet if they are concerned with crediting miles, and may be useful for award flights in the region given NZ being a Star partner airline. Then again, maybe SAS or Thai might be easier to accrue status towards?

I've been crediting LH Group flights to United as you always earn, regardless of the fare class (this is an exception that I think only applies to Miles&More, MileagePlus and possibly ANA's program).

That's generally true, although the accrual at SQ seems to be higher for UA P fares and their award chart might be more useful if you're travelling in APAC given the many sweet spots they have (which United doesn't have). On the other hand, I could certainly see what you are saying in terms of status. By my calculations OP would earn 10,501 United miles on the uncredited segments, supposing those P fares credit at 100% mileage flown. In addition, they would earn 10,501/5=2,100 PQPs on those uncredited segments with United Premier Silver being handed out at just 3,000 PQP (and United Premier Gold at 7,000 PQP). Then again, they would also need to fly and credit 4 segments with United too!
