Just got the BP bonus points from the original 5x promo. If you were waiting for these, check your account. Turns out I didn't need it in the end due to 1,000 points credited due to other points earn issues by BP
Mine is showing up under the "others" category - hopefully I won't need to rely on these in the end but I fear it may cause a few calls to the call centre to reallocate...

Be careful with Sniip for this promo as the have checks (e.g. IP) to prevent duplicate accounts.
Thanks for the heads up, it's Mrs excel's first time using it so hopefully should go through smoothly.

HUACA. The Binge subscription points should show up in your account within a couple of days of your $19 payment and the 10SCs a day or two after that. At least that's what happened for +1.
Thanks@Jacques Vert - new to streaming services!

Just signed up Mr Flyfrequently today 19/11
Free week trial
Payment due 27/11
So 1000 points shortly after - then the 10SC's?

Question re cancelling subscription once points and SC's credit.

If I cancel before next payment due late December (say mid December) but after points & credits, when does my access to viewing Binge cease?

Points 1-2 days after charge, sc a day or 2 after that. Once cancelled will be active till end of the period so one month from payment

Bought $110 travel insurance for a domestic flight on 14 Nov ($30 flight insurance, added unnecessary $80 cruise insurance), got the 1,000 bonus points 3 days later, got the 20 SCs 2 days after that - see below.

Haha, I did something similar. 2 week domestic trip extended to almost 2 months to get it over $100, figured as long as the policy encompassed the actual travel dates its covered.

Thanks @Flyerwin and @Falcs for proving this - I'd read earlier in this thread that points only post after end of trip... tricky when you add 6 weeks to the policy to hit the magic $100 !
That's why I added the weeks before my trip rather than to the end of it

The points are meant to post within 6 weeks from trip departure date (as opposed to policy purchase date. I suppose that's when the policy becomes non refundable). My last one posted about 3 days after the policy start date.

So I bought six boxes of Favourites and oil for my car in the same transaction and scanned my Qantas linked BP card. I got 124 points within 24hrs of the transaction but no bonus points for the Favourites. It's been one week so I'm assuming I will not be getting the 10x points for the Favourites. That'll teach me...

I should get the 20 SC for the utilities no problem, not phased about health and leisure or hotels and travel. I didn't go out of my way to get the SCs already earned apart from buying the Favourites...so maybe there is a lesson to be learned.

I only need 70 SCs to retain Platinum with eight months left before my year resets so not a big deal but I'd like to have it locked in so I can focus on non-Qantas flights for my international travel.

Binge will get you Health and Leisure for $19 if you subscribe in the next couple of days.

Hmm - I might have to try something like that - 20 SC's for $110 each isn't too bad an earn rate - not great but they all help.

So I tested the BP 10x promo again and it worked this time (the 4th time, after not working the 1st and 3rd), so I'll just put it down to a schitzophrenic IT system.

Looks like the previous offer has now expired and they have a new offer with a new batch of overpriced junk food so not quite there yet but should be able to comfortably bank the 10sc
BP's IT system is more than just schitzophrenic - I've been trying to register with them for nearly two weeks but it throws a hissy every time I try to link my QFF member number - their customer support emails me each day saying that it should be fixed now - but no such luck each day...

Hi all,

My Qantas membership year starts on 1 December and I’m trying to get the 1,000 Qantas Points from the Binge offer for Status on the Ground.

The terms say points won’t be earned after 30 November, though you can still sign up via the Qantas link until the 30th. If I sign up on 30 November, the 7-day trial means the paid month (and the points) would only trigger on 7 December, which is after the cut-off.

So my question is:

If I sign up on 30 November, will I still get the 1,000 points because there is a 7-day free trial first. Hence first payment won’t be until The 7th December?

Or is 30 November a hard cut-off, meaning points earned after that date won’t count at all, and I’d need to sign up earlier (e.g. 23rd) so the points post in November?

What are your thoughts?

Thanks in advance

This is the million dollar $19 question.

It's not really clear how the phase out of Qantas points will work with Binge/Kayo, particularly with the trial for Binge. In your case, I would suggest going for Kayo which doesn't have a trial.
