Just logged into the Qantas app and had an option to register for a new promo to earn up to 110 Status credits on the ground!

Can't find anything about it on the website yet but took a screenshot of the FAQ from the registration page. Seems there are 8 different categories that you can get SC for by earning points in during the promo period.

What is the offer, and how does it work?

You can unlock Status Credits on the ground by registering before 31 October and earning 1,000 Qantas Points in each designated category before 31 December, as long as the points land in your Qantas Frequent Flyer account by 31 March 2026.

There are eight (8) categories to complete, allowing you to earn up to 110 Status Credits in total.

To unlock Status Credits on the ground, you must:

Register for the offer by 31 October 2025.
Earn Qantas Points across the 8 different categories by 31 December.
Have the Qantas Points land in your account before 31 March 2026.
Please note:

You’ll receive Status Credits within six to eight weeks of completing a category.
10 or 20 Status Credits will be awarded depending on the category that is complete.
If you complete Cards and Banking, Insurance or Utilities and Services categories, you’ll receive 20 Status Credits for each category.
If you complete Hotels and Travel, Fuel and Cars, Food and Wine, Shopping or Health, Leisure and Entertainment categories, you’ll receive 10 Status Credits for each category.

Looking at the above screen shot, the only one I'd miss is utilities and services.

Edit: the Health, Leisure and Entertainment category seems to only cover Hoyts earning, nothing from kayo or binge, and wellbeing app specifically excluded. That's a tough one, how many times will I want to see the new Tron movie?? 🤔

I won't get the full 110, but it'll provide a nice trickle. Thanks for the tip!

I'll be due around 80sc which, given the recent DSC offer, overshoots the target by a bit 🫣

Yeah, don’t need any extra this year but will probably pick up a couple towards LTP….😂.

Note: Yes, they count towards LT status.

Registered but I can't actually see myself earning any SC from this offer. Can't even transfer Amex MR to complete the Cards and Banking section!

And as a member with a December year-end, looks like we get the short end of the stick again - offer comes too late in the membership year to be particularly useful (and looks like the SC's can't be deferred until the new year since they're backdated to the date the points are earned), on top of the fact that we can't defer the 'gift' SCs credited last month to the new membership year either!

Yep
Will it drive me to Hoyt’s ?
Or The energy provider ?
Or travel insurance (which I can still get for free elsewhere)
For most of us, it’ll be an easy 20-30SC
(Not that I need them given LTG)
For those that shop or wine add 20 more

With Red Energy, is it possible to overpay a bill and get points for the full payment?

Just need 682 of these offers to go from 0 LTSC to LTP.

The timing of this offer works well for me, but I doubt I’ll be able to earn much of the possible 110 SC. Still some is better than nothing.

In short, no.
The points are based on the current charges only, and shown on the bill.
I always overpay, and even when the amount due was around $50, the points were calculated on the total billed for that quarter (around $250).

This probably tells you all you need to know on how Qantas is currently faring with elite member retention.
