Hi everyone,

When I see award availability on JAL first class on Qantas website for classic awards booking, it says the Sydney to Haneda flight will earn 7200 points and 90 status credits, despite of it’s been classic award booking on partner.

Could I please ask if anyone booked similar itinerary before and indeed received points and status credits for this sort of booking?

Thank you kindly.

Points and SCs aren’t earned on award bookings.

If you are Points Club or Points Club Plus you will earn a reduced number of SCs on award bookings on Qantas flight numbers.

This is a quirk of JAL F awards booking into A class, which is also used for revenue fares and is on the QFF partner earn categories table.

If you fly with your QFF number on the PNR, you're unlikely to get points & SC. You may have success submitting a carefully worded manual claim.
