Earn Miles on Etihad ?

Could someone please confirm that travel with Etihad ex Australia will earn AAdvantage miles?

Not sure why it should matter if its ex Australia but my Etihad flights did successfully earn AA miles.

100% base mile rate on all economy booking classes is decent.
Better than QF anyway lol.

I think that there are a few exceptions from the usa to auh where you don't get miles, and of course if you are trying to achieve any sort of status with AA the miles will not be counted which is always a factor foe a few of us, plus no mileage bonus for those AA members already with status
