So I'm sitting on 520SC with a 31/12 anniversary.

Bookings will take me to 600SC on the nose to to requalify.

QFF now reads on login "congratulations you have retained gold"...curious if this might be a Comp or based on intended bookings - either way I'm happy to keep SG on business travel only this year although all-domestic travel is the pits!

Merry Christmas :)

...and now my QFF page has gone back to 80SC required to keep Gold.

Must have been the Grinch!

Happened to me with my Platinum requal congrats then back to where I was.

I'm tempting fate here ... I'm sitting on just 205 SCs with expiry of 31 Dec and I have the 'congrats you have requal for WP' message that appeared yesterday. So far it is still there. Fingers crossed it's the 3 year average rule at work and not a glitch.

As another hoping for some QF love (will be a first!), was there any particular action that triggered the congrats statement? new booking perhaps? or a flight taken?

I got similar last month for retaining PS. Once you dismiss the message, it goes back to you need XX points to retain. It did stick come Dec and I'm still PS. MrsDaver6 recently got the same thing for her SG. These are certainly not based on future bookings. Hope this data point puts your mind at ease.

Thanks. Not so much worried about future bookings, as my next year will retain SG outright. But whether the comp comes through may be a factor in more bookings that will retain WP next year.

I accept that it's not a given, or even a chance..but as a WP for the past four years, it would be nice to get something from QF.

I am now only Gold and saw the congratulations I have re qualified even though I am about 200 SC behind qualification for Gold.

I have taken a screenshot as I am taking this as I have qualified and would like to continue flying Qantas in the new year

If I have a free gold comp then my future bookings will be with QF. If not, I'll fly VA as I get free lounge access with my Amex card :)

AT this point I'll settle for a soft landing...
though I suspect I will have enough to qualify Silver standalone by the end of Feb. Something about I'd rather have CX Gold.

Happy wandering

Fred

This is correct. The message will be dismissed but it still applies (despite the counter showing you still need further scs). My new card arrived in early october retaining plat despite being short. I was 200sc short when the message came up and 15 short when my anniversary hit. I had planned to fly an extra trip but didnt bother
