At the time of booking… March or early april maybe, I’m sure I checked everywhere but V class didn’t earn. Did VA update their tables once they reinstated the transfers with KrisFlyer?

I can make a retrospective claim I guess, FWIW.

What’s your concern with google flights? They’re usually pretty good for fares, with some exceptions like Va domestic fares, which it sometimes has old prices for.

Webjet… I don’t like them as a matter of principle… they charge a compulsory ‘fare lock guarantee’ which is very expensive to ‘guarantee the fare they list will be available’. But only up to a certain $ value.

What sort of company advertises a price, then charges you a fee to honour that price?

I flew an SQ V class fare between Thailand and Singapore a couple months ago. it didn’t earn anything in VA or any other star alliance program. Incorrect! See below!

Google flights showed an airfare of $1460 return but when I clicked to SQ website the airfare was $1920 and $2200.

Webjet has the airfare as $1515 but I haven't clicked all the way to see if it's bookable. Also cannot see the booking class.

I checked Velocity and I can see Economy Lite earns normal SCs. Is economy V class as mentioned by @serfty ?

I can't afford to lock up $1500+ on credit and then wait months for refund. Good thing about webjet is can use afterpay giving me 6 weeks to pay in full.

I ended up booking the Webjet airfare but price went up $200 an hour later. Need to jump quick on these deals. The drawback is arriving into SIN 8:45pm and departing 1:00pm next day.

It turns out it's E booking class which is Economy Flexi so should earn double Velocity SCs.

Not to worry. I'm happy with the Webjet airfare just should booked an hour earlier and saved $200.
