QF25/26 - Sydney/Tokyo(Haneda) have been commenced since August.
I have already done 4 return trips as Haneda is so convenient to access to central Tokyo as well as catching connection flights to further distinations.:):):)
But one thing......the Qantas check in counter in Haneda opens 3 hours prior to the departure time, which does not leave much time to enjoy at JAL first class lounge. (drop off baggages, pass the custom and be at a gate 30 min. prior to the departure takes 1 out of 3 hours). Within 2 hours, I am in a rush to do a bit of work checking emails, shower (usually a few people are on queue), dining, enjoy JAL Suntory collection and foot massage.
Is there any way to check in earlier?....I thought Qantas offers Platinum holders early check in?

They do have all day check-in in Sydney (for more time in the SYD FLounge ;)) but I am not aware of any such arrangement in HND.

Having said that, I've not flown QF out of HND, so maybe someone who has will be able to give you a better answer.

Would check in online and HLO work?
The staff don't arrive until shortly before the 3 hours, then have a little meeting and line up and bow to everyone waiting. It's quite fun to watch.
Totally agree on the awesomeness of Haneda. The Red Suite in the FL is really nice. Usually the best champagne is in there and there's lots of old JAL artefacts.
