Early Check in for Cathay Flights from Melbourne

Mrs Ansett and I have a trip coming up via Hong Kong on CX departing from Melbourne.

We shall have HLO only and wondered if we can do online check in and make our way to the lounge before the official opening of the check in counters for the flight.

Would appreciate any advise and or experiences.

Should be fine, have done this in SYD and had them do the passport check at the gate prior to boarding:

All passengers and their travel companions on Cathay Pacific and Dragonair flights who have checked in online for flights departing from Adelaide, Amsterdam, Auckland, Bahrain, Bangalore, Bangkok, Beijing, Boston, Brisbane, Cairns, Cebu, Chiangmai, Chicago, Dubai, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Fukuoka, Guangzhou, Haikou, Wenzhou, Hong Kong, Johannesburg, Kaohsiung, Kuala Lumpur, London, Los Angeles, Manchester, Manila, Melbourne, Milan, Nagoya, New York, Okinawa, Osaka, Paris, Penang, Perth, Phnom Penh, coughet, Rome, San Francisco, Sapporo, Seoul, Shanghai (Hongqiao), Shanghai (Pudong), Singapore, Sydney, Taipei, Taichung, Tokyo, Toronto, Vancouver, including those transiting in Hong Kong, can print a boarding pass online.

Passengers without check-in baggage:

• Can proceed directly through Security and Immigration and to the Gate
• Must present their travel documents at the Boarding Gate Service Desk at least 30 minutes prior to departure.
