We have scored a 3am flight out of Dubai to Sin. We are OWE so the F lounge awaits. Could we expect to checkin around 10pm? Tx.

T-10 for passing security/immigration using the boarding pass scanners. Checkin (bags dropped etc) can be done at T-24.

I've only been in the more popular B and the smaller C where the DXB-SIN / DXB-MEL flights usually depart. If I'm there for more than a few hours I go to B after check-in, then to C an hour or so before the flight which is usually pretty quiet. You can walk from B to C (~ 15 mins) but there's also a buggy service for F pax if you ask. The C gates are right next to the lounge.

Which is your favourite (A/B/C)? Or all?
I get really confused tbh. We are in and on A380'S so presume it's the same lounge exit which is the extra large one, well, massive, but I think it's another one that has the Veuve bar which is calling my name.

Actually I'd really appreciate a run down of all of them. It's been years since we've flown EK. I've been in the main lounge and a smaller one.

The route is Mel - DXB (3 hours transit) then AMS.

On way back, LHR - DXB for a few days over NYE then DXB - Sin on EK then Sin - Mel on Qantas.

I checked in the night before for my EK flight in September. Absolutely brilliant. Also judging from the queues the next morning, it was just as well. EK seems to have some severe staff shortages (unless it's always like that - this was my first time flying EK).

As for lounges, the main F lounge was atrocious. Can't believe they call it an F lounge - I'd take QF SYD INT J lounge over that. It felt like a Westfield food court, and just as crowded & messy. I promptly left.

However, the smaller lounge (I think C gates?) was much better. Still doesn't hold a candle to the QF SYD F lounge, but I think a nose ahead of the QR DOH WP lounge. I think EK just has too many people in its F lounges for them to feel luxurious.

There was no Vueve in any of the lounges when I was there, it was Moet (website confirms this so must be a permanent change, even though the same company. Moet is cheaper).

We are OWE so the F lounge awaits. Could we expect to checkin around 10pm? Tx.

QF WP gets you F lounge, not OWE! (I know you are QF WP, just pointing it out in case someone else gets confused)

My favourite of the F lounges is A, then B. A is the largest and most spacious, C is the smallest and dingiest. A and B both have a spa where you can book in a complimentary treatment.

The Moët & Chandon Champagne bar is located in the J lounge at B.

I'll take any of EK's lounges at DXB over QF's J lounge at SYD any day.

Some thoughts on the lounges in this thread. Concourse A definitely my favourite. Midnight to 3am hardly any visible guests - plenty of different spaces for peace and quiet and multiple spots for food - not just the main dining area.

I’ll point out I was at the lounges late morning for an 11am flight, so sounds like time of day plays a factor. The A lounge was disgusting.

Definitely wouldn’t say the C lounge was dingy at all, plenty of natural light and spacious - perfect for a champagne brunch. Service was impeccable (as opposed to non existent in the A lounge).
