Duty Free MEL - KUL - LGK

Flying to Langkawi for the first visit ever in Malaysia.
Just wanting to know about duty free on the way there.
Can I buy on arrival in KL, if travelling on to LGK, even though this is a domestic leg?
Or is the grog cheap in Langkawi anyway?

Grog is cheap in Langkawi anyway, cheaper than the duty-free shops in Australia.
