Has anything changed in relation to buying duty free in HKG and bringing it back into Australia?

On my last trip through HKG duty free couldn't be purchased for flights to AUS. The previous thread on this topic has been closed, so hoping someone can give me an update.

Thanks :)

No changes far LAGS as far as I'm aware. They won't deliver to the gate in HKG so you can't take it as carry on to Australia.

Duty free in HK is a ripoff and not worth it, even more so now with the AUD fall. If you can buy your booze in HK at retail and pack it in your checked baggage do so - youll get better prices at three sixty and international compared to th airport.

Yeah that's right. I had a brief look on arrival this morning and it was all very pricey compared to Sydney. A bottle of Bombay Sapphire was roughly $38AUD

I haven't been to HK for a few years, so had lost track of prices, on my last trip the prices seemed reasonable, but I wasn't able to purchase. Unfortunately I am only transiting in HKG this trip, so won't have the opportunity to buy anything outside of the airport.
