Hi folks,

Planning a leisure trip for this September and it kooks like I'm going to find myself passing through Dusseldorf for a couple of nights, with a day and a half to see the sights - can anyone suggest accommodation?

Looks like the main touristy area is the Old Town, but accommodation options really close (I like hotels right in the middle of where I'm likely to be spending time) look a bit limited apart from the (not cheap) Intercontinental...

Cheers,

Danny

My pref. would be staying close to the main station (HBf). Try the Best Western Ambassador. Good location, reasonable price. No dinner service.

Old town (Altstadt) is a short, pleasant walk.

I can only tell you where not to stay!

Radisson Blu Scandinavia - unfortunately, have stayed here twice & couldn't wait to check-out.

Stayed here because our major client WOW stay here when attending Euroshop. I still shake my head that a company the size of Woolworths use an agent that books a coughpy joint like this. Two trips, two CEO's........makes you wonder why they bother flying F to get there.

Thanks Foreigner, amaroo - noted!

amaroo, I've always been baffled by businesses using bad hotels - in my experience, they're not normally bad because they're cheap, they're just badly run... And who wants to stay somewhere like that?
